The short verdict
Method is most compelling when QuickBooks is already the financial system of record and the business needs a customizable CRM layer for customer records, estimates, sales orders, invoices, payments, and service coordination. It should not be treated as a universal field-service replacement from documentation alone. The evaluation must separate CRM user plans, Field Services dispatcher and technician roles, customization work, payment processing, and the exact QuickBooks Online or Desktop sync boundary.
Who it fits
QuickBooks-centered small and midsize businesses that value no-code customization and connected customer-to-accounting workflows, including teams evaluating Method's Field Services roles.
Watch closely: CRM plan prices are public, but Field Services roles, customization services, payments, and implementation can change total cost. Confirm which app and role each person needs before multiplying seats.
Small-team buying map
This map is a starting point, not a plan recommendation. Confirm current prices, included users, regional availability, and the exact workflow in a trial or vendor-led evaluation.
| Operating profile | Starting point | Why it belongs in the test | Stop signal |
|---|---|---|---|
| QuickBooks business needing shared CRM | Evaluate Quick Start | It can centralize customer history, lead activity, and core CRM work around QuickBooks without buying invoice workflows that are not yet needed. | Move to Pro or another product if estimates, invoices, field dispatch, or more advanced automation are launch requirements. |
| Sales-to-cash service team | Evaluate CRM Pro | The official tier adds estimates, sales orders, invoices, customer payment portals, and broader workflow controls. | Stop if the intended service workflow requires excessive customization or fails the two-way accounting correction test. |
| Dispatcher and mobile field crew | Price Field Services roles | Method documents separate dispatcher and technician responsibilities for scheduling and assigned work. | Do not treat it as an FSM replacement until mobile completion, urgent reassignment, offline behavior, files, payments, and job history are verified. |
Pricing and plan gates
Method's official CRM pricing currently lists Quick Start at $35, Pro at $59, and Enterprise at $97 per user per month before temporary promotions. Pro is the first listed tier for estimates, sales orders, and invoices. Self-service no-code customization is included, while vendor expert customization is separately priced after the first hour. Treat Field Services roles and Method Pay fees as separate cost lines.
Evaluation access: Method's own trial statements conflicted when verified on 6 September 2026. The public pricing page advertises a standard 10-day trial that begins with CRM Pro, the authenticated partner portal describes a 14-day Method:CRM referral trial, and an official partner-onboarding email received by ServiceTech Signal describes a 15-day trial through the unique referral link. Eligibility and current signup terms are determined by Method; confirm the live destination, included products, payment requirements, integrations, and Enterprise controls before starting.
- Quick Start is the lower-cost CRM entry point, but buyers needing estimates, sales orders, invoices, payment portals, advanced automation, or broader customization should evaluate Pro.
- Enterprise is the checkpoint for larger-scale governance and support needs; verify the current feature table and user minimums in writing.
- Separate CRM users from Field Services dispatcher and technician roles before modeling seat cost.
- Define every required screen, field, workflow, report, and portal change before estimating no-code effort or paid expert customization.
- Price Method Pay transaction fees and validate settlement, refund, chargeback, and accounting reconciliation behavior.
Strengths and constraints
The strongest documented signals
- Real-time two-way QuickBooks Online sync is central to the product proposition
- QuickBooks Desktop connectivity is officially supported through Method's sync technology
- CRM Pro includes estimates, sales orders, invoices, payment portals, and broader workflow automation
- No-code self-service customization is included
- Field Services documents distinct dispatcher and technician roles rather than forcing every user into one role
The constraints to price and test
- It is a QuickBooks-centered CRM first, not evidence of universal FSM fit
- Estimates, sales orders, and invoices begin at CRM Pro rather than Quick Start
- Expert customization is separately priced after the initial included hour
- Payment processing fees and eligibility require separate verification
- The public pricing page, authenticated partner portal, and official partner-onboarding email currently state different trial lengths, so the live offer must be confirmed
- Role packs, accounting edition, regional availability, and data-exit behavior must be confirmed in the quote and trial
What we still need to test
- Create a lead, estimate, approved work item, invoice, partial payment, refund, and correction while recording every QuickBooks sync result.
- Test dispatcher-to-technician assignment, rescheduling, notes, files, status changes, and customer communication on mobile.
- Prototype one required custom workflow without vendor help and measure the administration burden.
- Verify roles, field visibility, audit history, exports, cancellation, and post-cancellation data access.
- Reconcile Method Pay fees, settlement timing, refund, and chargeback handling in the intended region.
